Description of Bure Reach
Bure Reach is a Victorian Cottage on the banks of the River Bure; this stretch of water is visited regularly by otters, kingfishers and herons and is great for a real Norfolk Broads holiday.
Lammas is a small village on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, and is separated from the slightly larger village of Buxton with Lammas by the River Bure. This is a peaceful area, where you can enjoy walks through the water meadows and surrounding countryside, or if you wish to venture further afield the historic city of Norwich is only a short drive away. Alternatively, hop on to one of the trains that run along the Bure Valley railway and visit Wroxham, which is sometimes called the capital of the Broads or in the other direction, Aylsham a very pretty market town, which has a good selection of small shops and tea rooms.
Bure Reach is a Victorian Cottage on the banks of the River Bure, It is set in the grounds of the former Lammas Maltings and there is a brick and flint walled garden that opens onto the river; this stretch of water is visited regularly by otters, kingfishers and herons as well as the usual ducks and swans and on the water meadows you may see deer and barn owls.
