Description of Croft Prince Barn
A comfortable, detached, carefully converted stone barn, with inverted accommodation, to one side of an open gravelled courtyard shared with the owners own home. Approached by a narrow unmade lane in peaceful countryside just outside the village of Mount Hawke, the barn has its own sheltered and gated grassy garden with a swing and picnic table.
The wide stable door on the first floor which can be reached by steps or a gentle slope, opens into a spacious living room with a polished pine floor and a beamed ceiling open to the apex of the roof. It comprises a neat fitted kitchen area of limed oak, a pine dining area and comfortable seating. From the kitchen a door opens to a cloakroom with an adjacent W.C. and small hand basin.
Stairs lead down to a ground floor hallway where there are three bedrooms and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and separate shower cubicle. The two larger bedrooms, a double and one with adult bunks, both have French windows. The third bedroom, reached by two steps, has a single bed.
The beach at Porthtowan is within 1.5 miles by road or a steady half an hours walk by footpath, St Agnes is about three miles and Mount Hawke which has a few small shops and post office is about half a mile. There is easy access to the A30 for visits West to Penzance and St Ives and East to the Eden project.
Please note: Bath towels are not available but tea towels and hand towels are provided.
