Ivy Cottage is a very pretty detached Lakeland stone dormer bungalow, occupying a very picturesque location at Skelwith Bridge and only 3 miles from the popular centre of Ambleside. Situated in good walking country, with a variety of walks in the nearby surrounding areas ranging from the challenges of the Langdale Pikes and Coniston Old Man, to a range of more gentle walks that are available straight from the door. A real attraction of Ivy Cottage is the large terraced, natural wooded garden that slopes down to the banks of the River Brathay which is a haven for a variety of birds and small animals.
