Description of Low Hall Cottage
This delightful Lakeland cottage, which was converted from a former barn adjoining Low Hall, enjoys a peaceful and idyllic setting in the picturesque North Western Lakes. Low Hall lies between Cockermouth and Lorton in the most tranquil location, surrounded by woodland and open fields with views to the Lakeland fells. There is an abundance of wildlife, including deer, badgers, red squirrels, hares, buzzards and other birds of prey, and over 40 different bird species have been recorded. A stream, Little Sandy Beck runs through the cottage garden with a bridge into the woodland beyond. There is a bridleway from the house and a beautiful riverside walk along the river Cocker to Lorton and Cockermouth.
