Description of Riverside Cottage
Nestling on the banks of the River Ribble beside the wier, Riverside Cottage enjoys a unique position within a small hamlet some 1/4 mile outside of Langcliffe. Refurbished in 2011 the cottage offers cosy and welcoming accommodation spanning three floors and offering superb views over the river and adjoining open countryside particularly from the gable end windows. The cottage also has the added attraction of a picturesque unfenced pondside garden which attracts an abundance of wildlife throughout the year. Although the pond is probably only about one foot in depth, young children must be strictly supervised at all times whilst in the garden. The only route through the hamlet is by footbridge which is adjacent to the cottage and with no through traffic, offering a truly peaceful location. Langcliffe is approximately 1 mile from the busy market town of Settle, with an outdoor market held each Tuesday. Settle offers a host of shops, Booths Supermarket, a good selection of pubs and eating places, swimming pool/leisure centre and of course home to the famous Settle/Carlisle railway line. Riverside Cottage is perfectly positioned for the outdoor enthusiast with an abundance of walks direct from the door. Also handy for exploring the surrounding area where Malham Cove and Malham Tarn can be found some 8 miles away.
