Description of Station Cottage
Commanding lovely rural views toward the Cheviot Hills this charming mid-terraced cottage offers delightful holiday accommodation. The lounge boasts the friendly comfort of a wood burning stove making this a cosy cottage, whatever the season! Station Cottage sits in a small terrace of four, at the roadside of the South Hedgeley Estate on the northern edge of the welcoming village of Powburn, which straddles the A697, giving easy access to explore this stunning part of North Northumberland. Powburn is only 8 miles south of Wooler, snuggled at the foot of the wild heather-topped expanses of the Cheviot Hills; the gateway to the Northumberland National Park and where the St Cuthberts way route runs through. The surrounding area enjoys spectacular scenery- known locally as Glendale (the inspiration for Postman Pat)- and its many picturesque bridleways and footpaths are popular with those who enjoy cycling, walking and horse riding.
